My preordered yarn from The Lemonade Shop came today, along with my two darling little stitch markers. Sock weight in the Stormy Day color way. It’s my first skein of a merino blend, and it is just heavenly. I cannot wait to get some socks cast on for myself. I did a bit of a test swatch, and it’s a dream to knit. So thrilled! Check out Lemonade Shop on Etsy!

This yarn is pretty much killing me.

I signed up for the wait list.

DIY Knit Outlander Inspired Cowl Free pattern by Kalurah on Ravelry.  I have seen a pay pattern on Etsy almost identical to this one, except I like this one better. “The Gathering” cowl is knit with size 50 (25mm) needles. It is free to sign up for Ravelry (no spam). Kalurah describes the cowl:

This cowl is inspired by the cowl worn by Claire Randall on the hit series Outlander.

I’ve studied the photos online and I think I have a really close interpretation. The cowl is knit entirely in Garter Stitch and the seam from Provisional Cast On and Kitchener Stitch is completely INVISIBLE!

The pattern has two full twists worked into the cowl so there’s no need to fuss with it after putting it on.

Cowl is SUPER stretchy and can be pulled down over your shoulders for an adorable little Capelet or pulled over your head and worn as a hood.

Here’s another Outlander DIY Chunky Knit Infinity Scarf Pattern from Knit 1 LA.

This is great! I think I am going to make one!

Collaborated with a Japanese singer Kaela Kimura for NYLON JAPAN!

For this photo-shoot, I tried to visualize sound waves by sewing 26 balls of yarn onto photo panels of gramophones. Yarn would hit the wall, reflect and reach her ears.

I took up embroidery and weaving only 2 years ago. Who would have thought I would be doing installations and working with a famous singer! Crazinesssssss
